Water Lilies

12" x 12" oil painting on canvas

“Water Lilies” is a small, 12" x 12" oil painting on canvas and was inspired by a water pond that I saw on a trip to the Getty Villa Museum in Malibu, CA.  I always choose subjects that have meaning and are from personal experiences.

My paintings are of varied subjects, including landscapes and portraits, and are primarily created with oils and acrylics on canvas.  Composition, color, and light are of great importance to my work, and I would describe my style as “Impressionistic Realism.” I strive to view the world through an artist’s eyes and capture memories through an artist’s hands.

I have shown my work at the Upstairs Gallery, the Malaga Cove Gallery, the Palos Verdes Art Center, and other smaller venues throughout the South Bay area.  I have had the good fortune to earn numerous ribbons, including first place and best-in-show.
